Mitch Shea, Ward B Councillor

A township that works all twelve months

Hi, I’m Mitchell Shea, and I’m running for Ward B Councillor. Muskoka Lakes is a great place to visit; I want it to stay a place you can afford to live, work and raise a family in, year-round.

Mitchell Shea, candidate for Ward B Councillor in the Township of Muskoka Lakes

Mitch Shea, farmer, roofer, sixth-generation Muskoka.

What I’m running on

An economy that runs all year

Cut the permit delays and the zoning fights. Make it possible to run a business, take a trade job and work from home here in February, not just July.

Food grown here, eaten here

Clean water, because it’s everything

Accountability, visibility, oversight

Decisions explained in public before the vote. Spending and wait times published. A Councillor you can actually reach, who reports back on what he did.

Six generations on the same ground

Last year my son was born. I want him to have the same choice my ancestors had: to make a living on this land and to stay.
